Good morning West Texans and all you good, fine, friendly folks out there who wish you were . . .
Today’s show will feature a ton of Pac-10 expansion and the raiding of the Big 12 conference that broke out yesterday with Chip Brown’s article. Is this a good fit for Texas Tech? Will A&M mess it up for everyone? Will Texas agree to equal revenue sharing in order to drive up their total TV take or is it about pure power and control for the Longhorns? Tell us what you think here on the site and of course on the show tonight.
We’ll also keep up with the Tech men’s golf team at the NCAA Championships now that they’re in match-play with another visit from head coach Greg Sands.
Don’t forget to get in on the Tri-Fecta and True-False quiz as well. We’ll post those questions for you later in the day so be sure and check back.

As a life long Red Raider I feel completely safe in saying that we are not the prettiest girl at the dance, and waiting around to see what happens to the prettier girls is not in our best intrest. So if the Pac-10 comes a callin’ I say we through down some saw dust and get to it. No Aggies? No Problem. We will miss them like we miss Arkansas.
I’ve got an uneasy feeling about Tech joining the Pac-10. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it’s my belief in the old adage, ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’ Or, maybe it’s just that the name of the conference – the Pac-10. It sounds ugly… doesn’t roll of the tongue. And the last time I looked outside my West Texas window I darn sure did not see any Pacific ocean! West Texas and Pacific ocean? That just doesn’t sound right.
I like Jon’s points, but I think Chad’s perspective is also right on target. I love Texas Tech and I think the Pac 10 + 6 (Sweet Sixteen, I should patent that one) would be a heck ov’ a powerhouse conference. Especially, if they get the legal and revenue stuff lined out. Chad is right, we are not the prettiest girl at the dance. However, we are maturing nicley. Give us a few years and then let’s see. Heck, we even have an ocean in Texas. It’s a long long way from Lubbock, but we got one too.
