Show Notes: Thur. 12/30/10

Good morning West Texans and all you good, fine, friendly folks out there who wish you were . . .

Well, here it is. The final show of 2010. What a year. Between starting it off with the firing of Mike Leach at Texas Tech and finishing it off with the disaster known as the Dallas Cowboys it’s had its downs but I think we’ve had more than our share of Ups here in West Texas. Thanks to Estacado and Idalou for bringing home some hardware, thanks to Texas Tech’s men’s golf and the whole track program as well as tennis for giving us some thrills and thanks to Tommy Tuberville for keeping Tech football moving, viable and progressing instead of slipping into the abyss that so many predicted this time a year ago.

Today we’ll take your calls and celebrate what you thought was the best of 2010 both on and off the field off play. I’d like to get from you as well the best thing to happen to you or your family in 2010. Let’s have some fun and start our New Year’s Eve party a day early!

At 3:30 Wes Bunting joins us from The National Football Post.com to look at the Big 12 bowl games , OSU’s win last night and what to expect coming up this weekend. During the 4p.m hour we’ll check in with the Lady Raider coaching staff and get the low-down on their big road win at Western Kentucky last night. Finally during the 5p.m. hour Don Williams will dial us up from Dallas and we’ll get his last thoughts on Texas Tech vs. Northwestern in the Ticket City Bowl ( plenty of great seats still available ).

Beyond that it’s Cultural Index Thursday and we will have prop bets for you today for the bowl game, so dial us up starting at 3p.m. and get on The Domino’s Fan Line at 1-866-984-5326 and make your voice heard.

Thanks for a great 2010 and let’s finish up strong tonight.

Hyatt is a husband and a father, a guitar player, a fly-fisherman and a bad golfer. Raised in West Texas and a Texas Tech graduate, he's proud of his diploma; he's just not sure where it is. After 20-years in radio, television, and print Hyatt now finds himself on the internet. He reckons that is a good thing.
