Hyatt is a husband and a father, a guitar player, a fly-fisherman and a bad golfer. Raised in West Texas and a Texas Tech graduate, he's proud of his diploma; he's just not sure where it is. After 20-years in radio, television, and print Hyatt now finds himself on the internet. He reckons that is a good thing.

    1. Since I did not actually see Campbell, Dickerson or Sanders play in The Jones, I’d have to say Byron Hanspard. I was at the Little Ricky vs Big Ricky Tech win, and Ahman Green still hasn’t been tackled. Bam, James Grey Butch and James Hadnott, and Cedric Benson were all very good, but I’m sticking with Byron. Over 4,000 yards in 3 seasons. 2,000 one year. Not much offense besides him. I mean, Zebbie Lethridge as his QB? Really?
    2. I know I’m in the minority, and I am ‘of a certain age’, but I think Ferris is completely over rated. FBDO does not make my top list in anything, other than over rated movies. Maybe I think M. Broderick is smarmy. Maybe I don’t think Mia Sera wasn’t all that hot. Maybe the guy with the Red Wings sweater ticks me off. Maybe the Principle out to get Ferris is a tool. Maybe if Jennifer Grey had had the nose job back then… Maybe all those things. [Over-rated clap clap clap.] Say Anything, The Sure Thing, Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, Better Off Dead, (seems to be a John Cusak theme), Back To The Future, Airplane, Naked Gun, Arthur, Fast Times, Porkys, St. Elmo’s Fire, Risky Business, (need I go on??) all tons better.
    3. Wow, this one is actually hard. It’s like asking me to pick my favorite kid, even though I don’t have any. ‘Come On Eileen’ was the first video I ever saw, so that sticks out. I still have a crush on Patty Smyth from Scandal, and in ‘Hands Tied’ she wears a short black cocktail dress. In’ If This Is It’ there’s nippleage. I guess to pick one, ‘Like A Virgin’. Madonna was hot, somewhat under exposed (in several different ways), she looked good and wasn’t a freak show–yet. ‘Red Solo Cup’ is my current Fave.

    1) Best ever – eric dickerson. Best Tech back – James Hadnot. True beast

    2) I agree with RP. FBDO while okay is overrated.

    3) ZZ Top – she’s got legs.

    1. Gotta go with “Bam” Morris. Anybody that can pick up a Doak Walker award on a steady diet of draw plays from Spike deserves the honor. I know that the question didn’t specify only Tech players and some better backs may have played on opposing teams but I say screw ‘em. If they played for TU, OU or A&M then they have already collected more media coverage then they ever deserved.

    2. Gonna say that, although I enjoyed it, wasn’t my favorite of the 80′s, which has to go down as having the best movies of any decade. I mean come on, how do you compete with Raising Arizona, Fast Times, Bull Durham or the Star Wars Trilogy. Best part of the movie was Ed Rooney (“I did not achieve this position in life by having some snot-nosed punk leave my cheese out in the wind.”

    3. Best music video of the 80′s or any decade is Robert Palmer – Simply Irresistible. How can you beat thirty dark-haired models wearing low cut mini-dresses dancing in formation with nothing on their mind but bending over every time the camera focuses in on them. Genius. That or any video from Rick Astley. I mean a pompadour wearing ginger that dresses like Ward Cleaver and still picks up the girls. Gotta respect that.
